Atlantis (12)

German rock band, founded summer 1972 out of [a=Frumpy] by [a=Inga Rumpf], [a=Jean-Jacques Kravetz] & [a=Karl-Heinz Schott]; Initially completed with [a=Frank Diez] and [a=Curt Cress]. They were replaced by [a=George Meier] and [a=Udo Lindenberg] for the tour that followed after the first album [r=855093] was recorded. After the tour [a=Dieter Bornschlegel] and [a=Ringo Funk] joined the band to replace them. After the tour for the second album [r=831261] Kravetz left the band to be shortly replaced by [b]Reiner Schnelle[/b] and later in 1974 by [a=Adrian Askew]. At that time also [a=Alex Conti] joined to replace Bornschlegel. After the third album [r=866092] Frank Diez returned replacing Conti and a second guitar player [a=Rainer Marz] joined. Atlantis was disbanded January 1976, but still some recordings were made in March. February 23, 1983 Atlantis held a reunion concert in Hamburg with the founding members.
