Funk - soul group, formed in 1969, Detroit, Michigan. Associated with [a=The 8th Day] Put together by [l=Motown] songwriting team [a=Holland-Dozier-Holland], they signed to [l=Hot Wax (4)] They released two albums, and their biggest hits is "Somebody’s Been Sleeping" which sold over one million copies and went gold. They broke up in 1973, although the name was re-used for a totally different line-up of musicians for a short period in 1977.
