Multi-instrumentalist: trumpet, flugelhorn, washboard, woodwinds (tenor, alto, soprano and baritone saxophones, clarinet and flute) Grew up in Corvallis, OR. Moved to Southern California to attend college at Cal State Long Beach, Fullerton College and Cal Poly, Pomona. Just prior to completing a degree, he left school to go on the road with The Buddy Rich Orchestra and has been a busy working musician ever since. In addition to touring with Buddy's Band, Charlie has traveled with the Woody Herman Thundering Herd, Paul Anka, The Henry Mancini Orchestra and The Brian Setzer Orchestra. He has played live shows with performers such as Kenny Rogers, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Tony Bennett, Prince, Rosemary Clooney, Little Milton, Billy Lee Riley and many others.
