Mamie Galore

Soul and blues singer. Born in Mississippi in 1940. During her long career she played with Herman Scott and the Swinging Kings, Ike & Tina Turner Revue, and Little Milton’s band. It was due to her stint with [a=Little Milton] that she moved to Chicago and subsequently signed with [l=St. Lawrence Records] in 1965. She died in 2001 back in Mississippi. Prior to her death, she had returned to her roots as a blues singer.
