Gary Myrick

Singer - songwriter - guitarist Born in Dallas, Texas, U.S. In the late '70s he relocated to Los Angeles and he formed [a=Gary Myrick & the Figures] releasing with them, two early '80s albums. In 1983 he released his solo debut album and in 1984 he collabrated with [a=John Waite] for his album [url=https://www.discogs.com/John-Waite-No-Brakes/release/1758273]"No Brakes"[/url] (co-writer in four songs and guitar playing). He did much session work (for [a=Tommy Shaw], [a=Jackson Browne], [a=Stevie Wonder], [a=Wilson Pickett], [a=Robert Tepper] etc.). In the late '80s he co-founded [a=Havana 3 A.M.] along with ex-[a=The Clash]'s [a=Paul Simonon] and ex-[a=Whirlwind (4)]'s singer [a=Nigel Dixon]. He kept on with his solo career releasing more straight roots rock albums in the '00s. In 2013 he dueted with [a=Carla Olson] covering [a=Chris Jagger's Atcha]'s "Still Waters".
