Markus Svensson (3)

Swedish folk musician, nyckelharpa player and educator, born January 26, 1973 in Frändefors parish, Älvsborg county. He was previously a member of the groups Trio Patrekatt and Kalabra. Svensson is one of the members of the Nyckelharporkestern. He plays double bass harp, silver bass harp, chromatic key harp and octave key harp. He works as a freelance musician and pedagogue and is a teacher at Gotland folk high school in Hemse. Svensson became national fiddler in 1992 and world champion in chromatic key harp in 1998. Since the summer of 2018, he has been one of the members of the Zornmärkes jury.
