Matt Orphan

Matthew Scott Roren was born in Plainview on December 13th 1978 . He was the lead singer of The Microwave Orphans , The Repercussions , The Lord Humongous , This'll Kill Ya! , The Matt Roren Karaoke Experience , The Bitches , Gonnorhea , Pee-Soup and Aminal Herd . He also played guitar for The Lactose Intolerants and is one half of the nonsense rock band Caroline's Pneumatic Drapery . he has also recorded songs under the names The Sighed Projects , Gortobott Destruction Unit , and Crapapella. He booked shows at The Rock Lobster in Glenhead, Smithtown Masonic Lodge and at Saints and Sinners in Smithtown for Framed Wednesday Nights, and hosted there for Deuces Wild 's Situation Thursday Nights. He appeared in numerous episodes of Slacker TV / The Slack Pack, a few episodes of The Ghouligans and the movies Chosen , Secretary's Day , Freaks Nerds and Romantics , Lost Suburbia (Mount Misery Segment), Between Resistance & Community: The Long Island DIY Punk Scene and both A Marvelous Coincidence and Gold From The Sky (Written and Directed by his cousin/Microwave Orphans' band mate Jason DeFord), And a handful of online sketches for web series' & sites like Funny or Die, College Humor, UCB Comedy, Soren & Jolles, The New Yorker, Better If You Didn't, JewishBoston.com, The Black Panda Party (written and directed by Shawtane Bowen of Astronomy Club) and more.
