Dei Hamo

Sanerivi "Sani" Sagala is a rapper, producer & video director from South Auckland, New Zealand. Born 24 August, 1974. Debuted in 1988 under the name "Ichiban". Released his first 12" release a year later as a part of the group Enemy Productions. Originally Dei Hamo was another one of Sani's groups with his friend Fatu Su'a, but Su'a quit music so Dei Hamo became the music alias of Sani. Dei Hamo momentarily quit music in 1999 but returned in 2001 after hooking back up with old collaborator Matt Ruys and his new label HiRUYS. He then had a run from 2001 to 2005 with HiRUYS, before settling more into being a video director with his own company.
