Russell Rolen

Russell Rolen is an American cellist and music educator, a founding member of the [a=Spektral Quartet], and the principal cello of the Firebird Chamber Orchestra in Miami. Russell earned his bachelor's degree from the [l=Peabody Institute] in Baltimore and finished Master's program at the University Of Wisconsin-Madison, becoming a Paul Collins Distinguished Graduate Fellowship. He received a DMus degree from [l=Northwestern University], where he currently coaches chamber music. Rolen also maintains a private cello studio and [i]moderncellotechniques.com[/i], a multimedia database for composers and musicians to explore extended performing techniques in contemporary music.
