Trevor Nelson

British radio and club DJ. Born: 7 January 1964 in Hackney, London, UK. Started on London's Kiss FM as a pirate radio station in the mid-1980s, through to its legal launch and leaving in 1996. Nelson joined BBC Radio 1 in 1996, along with a number of other Kiss DJs around that time. He then moved to 1Xtra, and now has a show on Radio 2. Hosted the MTV Base show from 1998 on MTV, and has appeared on numerous TV programmes as both pundit and presenter. In 2002 was awarded the MBE for his charitable work.
