BOJ

Boj is the stage name for Nigerian singer Bolaji Ojudokan. Initially of the group DRB whose other members he met while in college in Worcestershire, Boj became noticed for his singing. Boj studied Audio Engineering and is considered to have quite a different sound from mainstream pop. BOj is considered one of the pioneers of Nigeria’s rapidly expanding Alté scene. Standing for “alternative” and blending Afrobeats, pop and rap into futuristic hyper smooth genre-hybrids, it’s been described as less a genre and more a state of mind.
