Mutiny

Mutiny, a hard rock/metal band from the Philippines, was formed in the early 1990s from the fusion of two bands, Sum Go and Chuck Fournier of Anno Domini, Roy Secillano and Paul viloria of Mutiny in Manila. They gained some popularity in the underground scene mostly by playing gigs at Club DREDD Timog and Mayrics and also getting airplay on LA105.9 with their singles “Rak N Rol na Lamang” and “Salamangkero”. Influenced by bands like Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and other 70’s bands like Cream, Jimi Hendrix and Deep Purple, and regarded by many as one of the BIG 5 of Philippine’s HEAVY ROCK-along with Wolfgang,Razorback, Backdraft and Dahong Palay, Mutiny released their first album in 1994 “Ang Salamangkero at Iba Pang Mga Kwento” under Polycosmic Records. Just shortly after releasing their debut album, they disbanded in 1995. In 2012, Paul Viloria revived the band on his own and were later united with Roy, and then finally Sum in 2021. After 30 years, original members Roy, Paul and Sum, and the addition of guitarist Raffy, they’re are releasing their new and 2nd album, “Engkánto,” featuring 10 tracks, including the carrier single “Engkanto”, “Keep On Rocking”, “War”, “Narcíso” and more.
