Hiroshi Kato

Originally a jazz guitarist, Hiroshi Kato was leader and guitarist of Group Sounds band The Lind & Linders ([a=ザ・リンド & リンダース]), 1965-1970. There followed a period of experimental and avant-garde music around the time of Expo '70 in Osaka. In 1972 he formed [a=Godzilla & Yellow Gypsy] -- an amalgam of Godzilla and his own conception 'Yellow Gypsy' (a loose association which sometimes consisted of Kato alone). In 1973, he and Yellow Gypsy's associates played for Kouzaki Miyuki ([a=神崎みゆき]) on his 1st album ([r=10427060]) under the name of The Kato Hiroshi Group ([a=加藤ヒロシとそのグループ]). In 1975 he moved to the UK to pursue his activities there.
