Ray Chafin
American singer/songwriter and guitarist. Born December 26,1940 in Williamson, West Virginia, USA. His musical career started in the early 1960s when he rubbed shoulders with the original Beatles while playing at the Star Club in Hamburg, Germany. From there he returned home and worked for Fraternity Records in Cincinnati before recording for the LHI and Tower labels and co-writing songs for singer Dobie Gray. Chafin’s involvement with Medicine Ball proved to be brief but he and Bill Darnell (from Medicine Ball) founded the country-rock band Electric Range in the early ’90s.
