The Impatients (2)

The Impatients were an indie/power pop band that came out of the fertile Ann Arbor music scene in the early to mid-'90s. Consisting of singer/songwriter Doug Way, drummer Dan Carroll, guitarist Vijay Kumra, and bassist Sean Rhyee, the group initially released their first cassette (a six-song EP appropriately titled First) in 1993. After steadily gigging and gaining a local following, the group followed up First with the CD release of [r=5207964] in 1995. Produced in part by Scott Miller (of [a341887]/[a345040] notoriety), the album was issued on the local Skillet Records label, a business venture of which Carroll was a co-owner. Kickball was soon picked up for national distribution, but the Impatients dissolved shortly thereafter in 1996. Carroll went on to join [a362483], who would later ink a major-label deal with 550 Music/Sony.
