Tommy Koverhult

Swedish jazz saxophonist, born 11 December 1945, died 9 December 2010. Among other things, he played with Bernt Rosengren, Lasse Werner, Monica Zetterlund, Gunnar Bergsten, Sevda and Eje Thelin Group. Koverhult has also been active in Dramaten, in 1969 he participated in the play Flotten together with Börje Ahlstedt and in 2005 he participated as a musician in the play Baal. In 1983, [a3051675] received the award Jazz in Sweden, which resulted in a record recording together with [a257307] and [a545641]. Together with colleague Bernt Rosengren, Swedish jazz was presented with three gold records: Stockholm Dues (1965), Improvisations (1969) and Notes from the Underground (1971).
