Do Góry Dnem

Band was formed at the Academic Tourist Club "KROKI" in Szczecin in 1977. The group was founded by Jacek Zurawski (Zuraw), Przemyslaw Niwinski (Sliwa) and Alina Tomczak (Giraffe), who were soon joined by Wladyslaw Piatkowski (Wladeczek). With this lineup, the band made its debut at the YAPA 78 'review, where it sang an award with the song "Przypowieść o maku". The lineup of "Do góry dnem" changed; after Zuraw left in 1979, Marek Kuc (Kuc) joined the band, followed by Czeslaw Lasiuk (Czesiu) and Jerzy Chodor (Chodorek). From the moment the aforementioned Czeslaw Lasiuk and Wojciech Czemplik (Wojtus) appeared in the band in 1981, there was a period of the group's greatest successes and numerous awards and honors won at subsequent tourist song reviews: YAPA, BAZUNA (1981 rally song title for "Turystyczna samba "), BAKCYNALIA, WŁÓCZĘGA, ŁAJBA, ŚPIEWAJĄCE ŻAGLE, as well as an honorable mention at the Student Song Festival in Cracow in 1983 for the song "August ". After 1985, the Do Góry Dnem formation suspended its activities, but its members continued to sing tourist songs at typical social gatherings. The year 2000 saw the reactivation of the band, which resumed the "Meetings with Tourist Song" (PTTK Regional Tourist Song Workshop in Szczecin), performed at the 30th anniversary Bazuna, held at Gniew Castle, and has been performing ever since.
