Don Brown (2)

American big band vocalist. Appeared as a vocalist in 1940's releases of [a349497]. He charted 3 times in the U.S. from 1941-5 with [a3164458]. The songs included: "You Walk By" (which landed at #16 in 1941), "Johnny Doughboy Found a Rose in Ireland" (#18 in 1942), and "On the Atchison, Topeka and the Sante Fe", which hit #10 in 1945. Died: May 20, 1951--in auto accident while still with Tommy Tucker Orchestra. Billy Dee (saxophonist in orchestra) also died in the accident. Don Brown was with band from 1940 to 1951.
