Fran Warren

American singer and actress. Born: March 4, 1926 in the Bronx, New York. Died: March 4, 2013 in Bookfield, Connecticut. She charted three times as a solo artist from 1949-50 with "A Wonderful Guy" hitting #17, "Envy" hitting #12, and "I Love the Guy" hitting #22. Her highest charted song came as a duet with Tony Martin--"I Said My Pajamas (And Put on My Pray'rs)" hit #3 in 1950. Her signature song, though her recording of it didn't chart, is "A Sunday Kind of Love", which she recorded with Claude Thornhill and his Orchestra on November 11, 1946. He released the song as a single in January, 1947. She worked in the orchestras: Randy Brooks, Art Mooney, Charlie Barnet, Claude Thornhill and others.
