Dave Lee's inspiration for the AC Soul Symphony sound was the instrumental, string-heavy disco by acts like [a=MFSB], [a=Love Unlimited Orchestra] and [a=The Salsoul Orchestra], combined with his love for 1970s television themes such as Charlie's Angels, The Six Million Dollar Man and The New Avengers.
