She was born in Jaffa and raised in Eilat where she still lives. Her given name is Keren; Karolina is a nickname given to her by her grandmother. Her recording career started in 1999. Karolina was a founding member and lead singer of the group Funset beginning in 2000. In 2004 Karolina joined with Yael Deckelbaum and Dana Adini to form the trio Habanot Nechama. Their 2007 debut album was certified platinum in Israel within three weeks of release. Karolina launched a solo career in 2009.
