Eddie Ruscha

Eddie Ruscha, known in music as E Ruscha V (son of artist [a=Ed Ruscha]), is an electronic musician using all manner of drum machines and synthesizers as well as traditional instruments to make what some deem natural electronic music. Ruscha began his musical career after art school, founding 90's Shoegaze band [a=Medicine] and psychedelic grunge band [a=Maids Of Gravity]. Soon, electronic instruments became Ruscha's focus and he began releasing music through his first electronic project, [a=Dada Munchamonkey], on early west coast dance music imprint Exist Dance. It was through these releases that Ruscha met [a324067] ([a=Rub N Tug], [a=Tom of England]) and the duo soon recorded under the name [a=Laughing Light Of Plenty] (later, [a=The Naturals]). Their song, “The Rose,” was voted the best dance song of 2008 on Resident Advisor. At this time, Ruscha also began releasing homemade tapes as [a=Secret Circuit] and joined psychedelic dub band [a=Future Pigeon] as both bass player and sound manipulator. [a=Secret Circuit], his then official solo project, released cosmic house and left field jam jazz for labels Beats In Space, [a=Emotional Response], and [a=Invisible Inc.] In 2018, under the moniker E Ruscha V, Ruscha recorded and produced the full length LP, [m1325531], on Beats In Space. More recently, Ruscha teamed up with [a=Scott Gilmore] on an electronic pop project titled [a=Doctor Fluorescent], of which they released their debut self-titled LP on [a=Crammed Discs] in 2020.
