Etern

Etern is a synthpop project by Brazilian electronic musician Mauricio XV that released a studio album, as well as a number of tracks that found their way onto electronic music compilations. Formed in 1994 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, its genre is synth-pop, structured based on ‘80s age’ with melodic themes, modern sequenced lines, and dense vocals. The band consists of Mauricio XV (songwriter, synths and lead vocals) and had many other contributors over time. XV was the co-founder of Pitch Yarn of Matter (P.Y.M.) in 1992 and Nude in 1993, along with producer and musician Marcelo Gallo. In December 2018, an album called Gratitude was released by Wave Records and distributed by NOVA MD GmbH. The album was produced by Etern and Marcelo Gallo and has tracks covering the band’s best material, as well as a few songs unreleased by P.Y.M. In 2019, three remixes were released: High (Technique Remix), Senseless (P.Y.M. Sense Remix), Gratitude (Lore Ride Remix). In March 2020, the track High (Technique Remix) was included in the compilation Isolated released by Wave Records.
