Defuse (3)

Some call it Power Rock, others Stoner Rock, some may even call it Punk Rock, but we just call it Defuse. And now time has come for their second album. ”Bangkok Addiction” hits the streets on 4th of March in Germany. The album was recorded in their own studio with producer Pasi Koskinen (Ajattara, ex-Amorphis) and it consists of eleven songs of self-destruction on a straight way to hell. ”Bangkok Addiction” is released by Fastball Music and distributed physically by Sony BMG in Germany and digitally by Believe. Short history of Defuse: The year was 2000 when Defuse was formed. Defuse performed loads of gigs in the Finnish underground scene, polished up their songs and released a couple of hard to get demos. During the fall of 2004 Defuse signed a record deal with Tuhma records and released their first single ”Someday / Shot Down”. Next year was spent by touring around Finland. During the fall they recorded their self titled album and it first saw the day light in March 2006. This album received cracking reviews and gained plenty of radio airtime on several Finnish stations. The video ”Killing another Tear” was made in April, after which the band hit the road performing many shows in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Russia. 2007 started out with a record release and a tour in Italy. At the same time the band released a video from the song ”D.I.B.”, which stars Marco Hietala of Nightwish & Tarot as a guest. Years 2008-2010 brought lots of changes in Defuse's story. New album was recorded and it was time to take a step further. The band looked for an international deal and after negotiations with various labels, Fastball Music gave our players the best cards. 2011 ”Bangkok Addiction” is released. Band Members : Jani Hyvärinen, Jerkko Tapaninen, Arto Ahonen, Tero Karjalainen, Timo Hämäläinen.
