George Hunt

Jazz trombonist, born c. 1906 in Kansas City, MO, died c. 1946 in Chicago, Illinois. Played with [a=Bennie Moten] c. 1932-c. 1935, [a=Count Basie] in 1936, [a=Fletcher Henderson] 1937-1939, [a=Earl Hines] 1938, 1940-1942. Hunt was primarily a section musician; however, he may be heard playing a solo on Basie's "One O'Clock Jump" (1937).
