Kiane Zawadi

Trombonist and euphonium player, born Bernard Atwell McKinney November 26, 1932 in Detroit. Took the name Kiane Zawadi in the first half of the 1960s. Zawadi has played or recorded with numerous artists, including [a=Donald Byrd] (1955), [a=Pepper Adams] (1959), Slide Hampton, [a=James Moody] (1961), Mongo Santomaria, Lionel Hampton, Dizzy Gillespie, and Aretha Franklin.
