Costa Rican Death Metal band founded in 2002 by bassist and vocalist Esteban Monestel (ex-Theriomorph, Ex-December's Cold Winter). Monestel joins forces with guitarist Jonathan Sanchez in creating an extreme metal band. After performing in some festivals and opening for [a=Disgorge (2)] (from Mexico), the band's lineup is completed with the arrival of drummer Ignacio Blanco (ex-Soul Absentia) and guitarist Sergio Rosales. In 2005, the band releases their first demo CD with 6 songs, receiving good reviews from fans and magazines. In 2007, the band re-master demo tunes plus new songs under the title "The Beginning of Desolation. In 2008, the band changed their name to [a=Catarsis Incarne].
