Guy Lafitte

French jazz tenor saxophonist, born January 12, 1927 in St. Gaudens, France, died June 10, 1998 in Simorre, France. He worked with Big Bill Broonzy (blues), Mezz Mezzrow, Bill Coleman, Dicky Wells, and Buck Clayton, and in his own groups, featuring many visiting American jazz stars, such as Lionel Hampton, Duke Ellington, Milt Buckner, Wallace Davenport, Arnett Cobb, and Wild Bill Davis.
