Frank Emilio

Cuban Jazz blind pianist (Havana, Cuba, 13 April 1921 - 23 August 2001) Emilio went down to the history of music as one of the great connoisseurs of the native rhythms of Cuba, being a great interpreter of the dances of Saumell, Cervantes and Ernesto Lecuona. Linked in the years of the decade of the forties with the members of the denominated "movement of the filin". His work is a must for admirers and scholars of the so-called Latin jazz, offered valuable contributions from piano to the consolidation of Cuban music in the beloved genre born in the United States. It was successfully presented not only in clubs, cabarets, radio and television, but also in various countries.
