Crimson Boy

Crimson Boy are an electronic duo that first emerged from the Post-Punk scene in Perth Australia circa 1983. Initially a trio under the name Childhood's End (with Petar Zadraznik), Crimson Boy became known for both their brooding electronic pop and edgier experimental works. Heavy on string-machine atmospherics and clattering drum-machine, their sporadic gigs would eventually yield a 12” EP - Hearts In Armour and a cassette release Street Gods And Neon Dogs. In the latter part of the 80s they morphed into a darker, noisier entity before disbanding in 1990. Co-founder V.Valentini would continue solo under the CB moniker with the release of 1991's 12” double A-Side Desolation Angel / Neon Dog. The ‘Melbourne era’ of this incarnation (1994-1996) would garner attention (including that of Chicago’s Wax Trax Records) for the heavy Industrial material that would eventually morph into the Fate Razor project. In 2016 the original duo reformed with the founding of Perth Label [l=Lightarmour Editions]. Crimson Boy is Andy Brown (Lead Vocals, Synthesizers, Rhythms) and Vince Valentini (Programmes, Synthesizers, String Machines, Rhythms, 2nd Vocals).
