Ronnie Hughes

British jazz trumpeter. Born: June 27, 1925 in Aberystwyth, Wales. Died: 1 April 2020 in Banstead, Surrey at the age of 94. Ronnie worked with Carl Barriteau (late 1947), Nat Allen, "Lesle Holmes' Londonairs" (spring 1948), Harry Parry, Teddy Foster, Ted Heath (September 1949-May 1954), Jack Parnell (August 1954-February 1955), Geraldo (1955-1957), Cyril Stapleton (1957), led own quintet (1958), Johnny Evans (1959) BBC Radio Orchestra and many others. Was for a time married with British vocalist [a941218].
