American novelty singer, musician, songwriter and producer, born on January 24, 1939 in Clarkdale, Georgia. Brother of [a=John Ragsdale], father of [a=Suzi Ragsdale]. Operated [l=Ray Stevens Sound Laboratory] recording studio in the 70s in Nashville, TN.
