Gloria Lynne

Soul, R&B, Jazz Bop & Pop singer. b : November 23, 1931 in New York (USA) d : October 15, 2013 heart attack Gospel singer's daughter, Gloria Lynne first started singing in church. Gloria Lynne was born Gloria Wilson in Harlem, she married Harry Alleyne. She won the first prize during an "Amateur Night" at Apollo Theater. Then, she recorded for groups like [a=The Enchanters] and [a=The Delltones] in the '50s and later solo in the '60s with small hits including "June Night," "Love I Found You," and "I Wish You Love". She made a comeback in the '90s. In 1996, she even received the International Women of Jazz Award. During her career, Ms. Lynne made nearly 400 recordings. Ms Lynn was subject of interviews as park of the black history project, "History Makers" in 2008. In her introduction she confirms her date of birth as 11/23/31. The videos require paid membership.
