Breaker Morant
An emo/punk band from Columbia, Missouri from 1996-1999. Members Ben Graham, Sam Dothage, Todd Ramsey were previously core members of the band Prozac Memory. After Prozac Memory broke up in 1995, Sam Dothage continued to play in a band called Product 19. Ben Graham and Todd Ramsey briefly started a new band before asking Sam Dothage to once again join them. The three of them would become Breaker Morant. They played as three piece with Ben Graham taking on bass guitar and vocal duties for the first year or so, and maybe 10 shows. They later recruited Josh Browning to play bass, and just have Ben Graham on vocals. This would become the final lineup of the band. The four piece lineup recorded a total of six songs in 1998 with Joel Hamilton in Kansas City, MO. It's believed they only wrote seven songs while together. Five of the six recorded songs ended up on a split cd with another Columbia, MO band called Amputee Set, which featured Josh Browning's brother, Dan Browning on bass. The sixth song would remain unreleased. The very first song they wrote (song one) never got recorded. After a tour with Amputee Set in 1998 and some brief shows at the end of 1998 and beginning of 1999 the band called it quits mainly due to Ben Graham moving away. Josh Browning would end up moving to Chicago and playing in Tekulvi, and Guns Blazing. Todd Ramsey moved to the west coast and eventually to LA and started a new band there called Wintergeen, with ex-Prozac Memory guitar player Jared Anderson. Members currently live in San Francisco, Kansas City, St. Louis, and Columbia, MO.
