She was born in Jaffa and raised in Eilat where she still lives. Her given name is Keren; Karolina is a nickname given to her by her grandmother. Her recording career started in 1999. Karolina was a founding member and lead singer of the group [a=Funset] beginning in 2000. In 2004 Karolina joined with [a=Yael Deckelbaum] and [a=Dana Adini] to form the trio [a=Habanot Nechama]. Their 2007 debut album was certified platinum in Israel within three weeks of release. Karolina launched a solo career in 2009.
