Anti Social Workers

Punk-reggae band from the London Overspill area that spat radical lyrics over wicked dub riddims from legendary producer, the Mad Professor. Performing live with backing tapes, they also supported Peter Tosh and Eek-A-Mouse on tour. Their debut album went to No. 1 on the Japanese Reggae Charts, as well as receiving critical claim in the music press - described as ‘cutting up rough to the dub’ by the NME. However, they split up around September 1984 before their up coming ‘Anyway/Beat of Hostile Street’ 12” single was released. Members: Paul ‘geezer/madhatter’ Wellings Tim ‘teething’ Wells Mark Paula
