John Bersuch

Kansas City based multi-instrumentalist, and owner of [l515433]. From 2003-2005, he produced the [l=Dandercroft] Magazine and two companion compilation CDs. Creator of the Kankercroft Machine in 2001, which is a musical instrument formed from a metal cabinet found at a thrift store, with appliances and accessories mounted to the front such as a hair dryer, handheld blender, shoe buffer, and electric scissors. Also mounted is a tape player, a radio, some different doorbells and little green and red lights. Each item has a small contact mic attached to the noisiest part of it, which run inside the cabinet and hook into a 10 channel mixer. A 1/4" cable comes out of the mixer and is plugged into several pedals (Line 6 delay, Boss blue pitch/delay and Kaos pad) which then runs out to the amp. When played lived, the artist also has a drum machine, Microkorg, and iPad hooked up to the same pedals.
