Billy Bolero

Swedish musician, songwriter, music producer and founder of the record company [l92181], born on October 31, 1961 in Steneby, Bengtsfors, Dalsland. He began his career as a solo artist in the early 1980s and later formed the group Zzaj together with Anna Nederdal. As a music producer and songwriter, he has worked with, among others, Di Leva, SH, Irma Schultz, Uno Svenningsson and Zzaj. He started his first label - [l38295] - under the direction of Sonet in 1984. Papa Records was conceived by Ola HÄkansson and Sonet, who gave him more or less free hands to do what he wanted. In the years 1984-87 the label released Di Leva and Staffan Hellstrand's first album. Then Billy formed the band [a955448], together with Pelle Lidell and Thomas Widestrand. They got a deal with Virgin. He then focused on being a producer and songwriter. He started the publishing house and the production company Bolero. Wrote and produced albums with Irma and Anna Nederdal / Zzaj. He worked as an A&R for Sony Music for seven years. There he and his A&R partner Patrik Sventelius worked with i.a. Bo Kaspers Orchestra, Brainpool, Sophie Zelmani, Meja, De De. Then he went on to Universal Music in the same role and was involved in albums with Lars WinnerbÀck, Carola and Sverige. He then ran Bolero Records together with Warner Music and released Elin Sigvardsson, Evolver, Marie Lindberg, Uno Svenningsson, Monica Starck, Incka, Bob Hansson & Kristoffer Jonzon. After that he became a freelance A & R. In 2010 he left the freelance role to focus on Little Wonders and his involvement on the publishing side of Ninetone Records. Ninetone is run by producer Patrik Frisk who is a rock label with bands such as Corroded, Plan Three and Itchy Daze and released Takida's first two albums. Since the start, he also ran music publisher companies. First with Warner / Chappell and for five years Sony / ATV as publishing partner. Besides the music, he is working as a football coach.
