Moth Wranglers

Moth Wranglers is a collaborative venture formed in 1998 between [a=Chris Xefos], and [a=LD Beghtol]. With Beghtol in Brooklyn and Xefos in San Francisco, their collaboration blossomed through use of technology: email, file-sharing, and mobile telephony to link geographical and conceptual gaps. Guest musicians on MW's two CDs, Never Mind the Context ([l2027], 2001) and Never Better (Magnetic, 2004) include: [a=Stephin Merritt], [a=Claudia Gonson], [a=Ken Stringfellow], [a=Victor Krummenacher], [a=Jonathan Segel], [a=Christopher Ewen], [a=Dudley Klute], [a=Alison Faith Levy], [a=Doug Hilsinger], and many, many others. By summer 2009, Moth Wranglers had disbanded, and a final digital-only release of outtakes (Never Again) was made available via their Bandcamp page in 2010.
