Stephen Saunders

Classical brass player (bass trombone, trombone, euphonium, tuba, sackbut) and teacher. He studied at [l305416] from 1969 to 1972 under [a688110] and was then a founder member of such ensembles as the [a=London Classical Players], [a=Orchestra Of The Age Of Enlightenment] and [a=The Academy of Ancient Music]. He played for 18 years with the [a=National Philharmonic Orchestra]. In 1992, he took the position of principal Bass Trombone with the [a=BBC Symphony Orchestra]. Former member of the Amsterdam-based [a=Orchestra Of The 18th Century], [a=Orchestre Révolutionnaire Et Romantique], [a=English Baroque Soloists]. Bass sackbut with [a=His Majestys Sagbutts And Cornetts]. In musical education, he has been a teacher of the sackbut and trombone at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
