Freddy Jenkins

American jazz trumpeter, bassist and composer, nicknamed "Little Posey" born October 10, 1906 in New York City died 1978 in Texas. Jenkins worked with Edgar Hayes, Horace Henderson, Duke Ellington (1928-1934, 1937-1938), in his own group (1935), Luis Russell (1936), Alvis Hayes and others. Retired from music in 1938 due to illness.
