British folk rock band, formed in early 1972 by Ian (later Iain) Matthews, formerly of [a=Fairport Convention] and [a=Matthews' Southern Comfort], and Andy Roberts, previously of [a=Everyone (10)] and The [a=Liverpool Scene].
