Fred Asp

Swedish drummer and partly songwriter in music groups Black Nails, Esso & The Oilers, Alien Beat, Reeperbahn and Imperiet during the eighties. Asp also appeared as a pianist in an early constellation of Thirteen Moons. He released the 1990 solo album Gracefully Chasing The Tail. In 2001 he released the poetry / music album "Undrens Marknad" with his own music to spoken poetry by Wisława Szymborska (Nobel Prize in Literature 1996) (Freedonia Records). He has composed and produced film and theater music in various contexts, including The Art And Design In The Stockholm Metro for the world exhibition in Seville 1992, The Foundation, Västmanland County Theater 1993. Undrens Marknad, a lyrical show theater Lido in Stockholm 1997 / Fringe Festival , New York 1999 and Petra Von Kants Bittra Tårar, theater Plaza 1998. Some of the most famous songs Asp wrote are Reeperbahn's Små Druvor and Imperiets Tennsoldat & Eldvakt, Cosmopolite and De É Noget Under.
