Arthur Lange

b.: April 16, 1889 d.: December 7, 1956 United States bandleader and Tin Pan Alley composer of popular music. [a2571896] recorded prolifically for the [l404406] and [l243710] from 1922-1928, often under pseudonyms (eg. [a3345668], [a3418856], [a3570289], [a3406301], [a2895598] and [a4511395]). He composed music for over 120 films, including Grand Canary and Woman on the Run. Lange shared an Oscar nomination with [a=Hugo Friedhofer] for the film The Woman in the Window. He was nominated four times for Oscars but did not win any.
