Rocking

RockING is a group of musicians assembled by the producer Bogdan Puriș with the intention of celebrating the Centenary of the Timișoara Polytechnic University (UPT) from Romania. All those involved in the project, including the musicians, are UPT graduates. The very name is given by the combination of two suggestive words: Rock & ING (inginer = engineer). Due to the pandemic, on November 11, 2020, a concert was organized on the set, without an audience. It was then that the Centenary song O Sută De Ani (One Hundred Years) was released, which had an attached video and appeared on CD in a limited edition. On December 20, 2023, it was the band's first concert with an audience and on the same day the single O Sută De Ani was released on 7” vinyl. The composition of the band: Mircea Baniciu, Călin Pop, Tiberiu Bako, Teodor Pop, Octavian Horvath, Valentin Potra. The band's repertoire includes, in addition to the song O Sută De Ani, songs from the repertoires of the bands where RockING members sang or sing: Phoenix, Cargo, Pro Musica, Celelalte Cuvinte, Blazzaj, Mircea Baniciu solo.
