AKA Rodgers and Hammerstein, Rodgers-Hammerstein. The most successful collaboration in Broadway history and among the primary contributors to the American repertoire, this duo formed when Rodgers' original songwriting partner [a=Lorenz Hart] died in 1943 and ended with Hammerstein's death in 1960.
