Los Violines De Lima

Julio Santos Gonzales was born in the Barrios Altos in July 1922, he studied at the Guadalupe School, then spent time at the Bach Institute and finally at the National Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of German Hans Prager. In May 1962 organized the musical group "Los Violines de Lima" with very young members. The original lineup could not give exactly, but in 1966 was as follows: Julio Ortiz Barreda (born in Lima on 08.06.1942), Jose Santos (born on 14/04/1943 Abancay), Edmundo Santos (born in Cuzco on the 16/11/1944), Carlos Maguiña Negreiros Jose Gonzales Zavala (born in Huaraz on 26/11/1945) and Carlos Valcarcel (born in Callao in 1944). A more experienced member, César Pérez (born in Ayacucho, born in 1932) was then added.
