Michael (Lopez) Phillips

Canadian folk & country musician, singer, songwriter, bass & guitar player, who also performs & records as [a=Mighty Lopez]. Originally from Halifax, where he started in music as a garage rock bass player before discovering guitar and jug bands. Moving to Vancouver, he co-founded the [a=Hard Rock Miners] before moving to Toronto and co-founding [a=Jughead (2)]. He now lives in Huntsville, recording and performing as [a=Mighty Lopez] and also playing bass for other artists. Brother of jazz trumpeter [a=Brigham Phillips].
