Lisa Dal Bello

Lisa Dal Bello is an accomplished Canadian performer. Her career has run the musical spectrum, beginning in soul/funk in the '70's, moving to pop rock in the early '80's, then changing to alternative rock in the mid-'80's. She changed her professional name at this time to simply 'Dalbello', and transformed her image and music as well, becoming a much more alternative performer. Her music has gotten increasingly harder and darker with each album. Her songs have been recorded by the likes of [a=Heart], [a=Julie Masse] and [a=Queensrÿche], who had a huge hit with their version of her masterpiece 'Gonna Get Close To You'. She has also done backing vocals for several artists, and worked closely with John Taylor of [a=Duran Duran], sharing vocals on his single 'I Do What I Do'. Dalbello still records, and recently does a lot of voice- over work for Canadian television, and sings many familiar commercial jingles as well.
