Corbeta Corbata

Corbeta Corbata started in St. Louis "THE YEAR 2000" in a small apartment by Ben Smith (Vocals and bass) and Don Beasley (Guitar) and then Eric Von Damage (drums) joined in early 2001. The name came from a high school friend of Beasley's and is Spanish for Corvette Necktie. The first show they played was off highway 100 on St. Albins Road (The Pubes played their first show here as well). The have two albums out (Entertainment Complex on Compound Records and Investing with Corbeta Corbata on Collective records). They have played just about every dive, basement, yardsale, art space and back porch you can think of as well as have opened for many touring bands such as DOA, Nomeansno, Guitar Wolf, Melt Banana, and Clockcleaner to name a few. They toured out to the east coast and around the midwest region. In early 2007 the band broke up. The best reason to give is that "things fall apart". There are two more 7 inches coming out by the end of 2007.
